Gaslini: Plexiglàs. Songs & Guitar Works

Also Quindici Songs (2006/2007) speak about love: Gaslini wrote one hundread Songs (Songbook) for voice and piano, he wrote the lyrics and the music and he recorded them in an album divided into five discs. In his house, Mrs. Simona Caucia Gaslini suggested me to check among the CD’s of Giorgio Gaslini so that I could have had the possibility to know Maestro Gaslini from a different sight: so I first had a glance at the songs album. It would have been wonderful to play those songs: not being pianist, the only way I could have was to transcribe them for guitar and voice. The family of Giorgio Gaslini has been very happy to accept the project and here we find the fifteen songs not only for voice and guitar but also with a percussion appearance which makes them even richer in sound! The percussions give that vitality and that warmth that a vibraphone, a cajon or a glockenspiel can provide, being able to transport the listener in a sound universe quite unique and thrilling.

This CD is dedicated to Maestro Giorgio Gaslini, a noble musician with a golden heart!
